IN THE PALM OF YOUR HAND
In the palm of your hand you cradle the hurts that have battered my heart.
I watch as you lick my wounds, still warm and glistening.
Kissing my tears, you coax them into smiles.
Your laughing eyes enter mine, moving around energy, speeding up my blood.
Going deeper, you pass muscle... pass veins and bones until you reach something else.
Human words cannot describe it in totality,
but there is a twinkling like stars which rattles your teeth
and a calmness reminiscent of the moon.
Gold and blue dance to a tango,
while green and pink make love;
creating iridescent sparks with each kiss and moan.
I taste the sweetness of your heart when you take up residence in my chest.
Resting among dripping candles and colorful pillows, at home in this gypsy tent.
